Emlékeim szerint minden iskolaév végén nagy megkönnyebbülést okozott, hogy az addig kénytelen-kelletlen gondosan rakosgatott, cipelt, nyitogatott-csukogatott tankönyveimtől, végre valahára megszabadulhattam. A kedvesebb darabokat (irodalom, történelem, biológia) néhány hónapig azért még előrelátóan őrizgettem, ám a matematika, fizika, kémia típusú információhordozókat rögtön a bizonyítványosztás napján dobtam sutba. Az a bizonyos "sut" jelen esetben a garázs volt, ahol ex-könyveim a következő tanév papírgyûjtési murijának eljöveteléig laktak. Akkoriban persze a papírt még nem környezetvédelmi, inkább verseny-megnyerési indíttatásból gyűjtöttem, ennek ellenére valószínűleg megértettem és támogattam volna egy olyan akciót, mint amilyet most az Ökoszolgálat Alapítvány indított el.
